No, they are on an even footing - that's what FBA accomplishes for a new seller. According to Todd: "The theory that I've seen played out for the most part is that if there are ten sellers, no matter whether brand new or very experienced with feedback, all at the same price, they will share the buy box equally, with the exception being when one comes to being close to out of stock, and they tend to get the buy box a little more because of the scarcity issue."
